A message from our Chairperson:
This evening sees our festival begin in earnest. After months of planning and preparation the stage is set for yet another fantastic fun-filled weekend in Dunshaughlin.

Once again our Main Festival Sponsor is Hire2k, what Rory and his team provide our festival is simply priceless, Thanks Rory and all at Hire2K. Without all our valuable sponsors this weekend would not be possible. Thank you all.

Our 5th Festival brings a mixture of the old and the new, back by popular demand are the wonderful Variety Show this evening which once again will showcase the amazing talent this village has to offer, the soap box derby, craft at the courthouse, the street markets, Sunday Funday in the park, the tractor run and lots more festival favorites are once again sure to entertain over the weekend..

This year we are delighted to have some new and spectacular events such as Inferno, the fire light and music show at the road closure area on Saturday evening from 9pm. There’s a raft race for those brave enough to test the waters or grab your ear-plugs and head on down the the road closure area for the big drum off on Saturday evening from 8.15 or why not have a spin around an obstacle course like never before on a Segway! And for the motor sport enthusiasts there’s the all new Racing Car parade and display on Saturday morning from 11.30am.

If you enjoy the quieter things in life why not soak up the atmosphere at the Artisan markets, enjoy a fashion show, or attend a colour and camouflaging masterclass.

For the children there’s endless hours of entertainment over the weekend with the Rathbeggan Express Train, bouncy castles, face painting, street entertainers, a magic show, the children’s dog show - you’d be barking mad to miss that, every respectable pooch and their human are bound to be there.
So relax and enjoy a fantastic fun filled weekend in what I believe to be the friendliest village in the world!
Ann McLoughlin, Chairperson Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival 2015.
